All Prayed Up … An Hunkered Down

WeekendIt has been a regular barn burner of a week here in the Heart-Land, lot of rain, wind and other tremendous examples of the power of nature.  My week has been somewhat traumatic and fraught with problems, not A-typical as I would prefer.

Perhaps the only hope left is devine.  Time to humble myself and ask for assistance.  A woman’s prayer and then a man’s prayer may be the order of the day

For All Those Lonely People …

My T-Shirt reeks of mustard and pickles, guess what I had for supper?  (By the way, “thank you for sharing that with us Mr. Smith”)  You want to know what I had for supper or dinner (lunch) just sniff my shirt or look at what is on it.  This post is #1,700 and we now stand at 1,309,975 visits to this page since April of 2008.

Veteran’s Day

Today in honor of Hartgen and Spitler who died in Aft Steering and my friend Fredrickson who never made it off the Flight Deck on July 27th, 1967 (Fire On The Flight Deck ) … This post is dedicated to you boys. We miss you.

Please take a moment out of your busy day to stop and consider all the freedom’s you currently enjoy and those who gave so much that you might have a rich and better life.

Then lower your head and pray for those who are still not home on this day.

If you know a vet, call him/her and tell them you appreciate their service and sacrifice for the common good of our country.

Better yet, if you can, take them out somewhere and buy them lunch and hug their neck.

Sweet Dreams …

Wow … Half of the month is gone and I flat did not notice, how about you?

You ever lie in your bed, that special early time in the morning, where you are not exactly asleep, but you still have your eyes closed?  I have just had another nice dream, one of those sweet dreams, where you just don’t want to open your eyes, and lose the image in your brain that has brought you release from the trials of life.
