“Someone please stop the bus … I want off.”
Vote and do it often. A Pew Research Center study found that 1.8 million dead people are still registered to vote in various states in the the union. And 2.75 million people are registered to vote in more than one state. Another 51 million aren’t registered and cannot vote.
As if it is going to matter.
43 percent of Americans, if given the choice, would rather have Congress run by random picks out of the telephone book, than the current crop of Nimrods we currently have up there.
Right now, the last time I looked, only 5% of the populace believed they were doing a good job. George Burns used to say, “It is too bad all the people who know how to run the country, are too busy driving taxi’s and cutting hair.” If you love the government you are getting now, you are going to love it even more when you get sick.
That should just about sum it all up.
Love is never having to say you’re sorry. A Florida man has been ordered by a judge to take his wife out on a romantic dinner to the Red Lobster. The man was charged with domestic assault after forgetting his wife’s birthday, which lead to an argument, and then he pushed her down on a couch.
The judge sentenced the man to buy her some flowers, a card, then take her for dinner at the popular seafood chain. After that I expect they will go bowling.
In a global poll of more than 21,000 people, two thirds of married couples or people with a significant other say their partner is their most important source of happiness. 38% said the best thing about their relationship is the sex. And in my case, it is a delicious cinnamon roll smothered in warm butter and a cup of coffee on Saturday morning.
No, I am just kidding. We both know that marriage is about give and take, negotiating, trying new things. For instance: He said … Shall we try swapping positions tonight? She said … That’s a good idea – you stand by the ironing board while I sit on the sofa and fart!
I am mad and I am not taking it anymore. Yeah, okay. The mailbox heated up overnight on some comments made yesterday. One thing that I have learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will NEVER forget how you made them feel. We don’t say this is completely wrong or absolutely right … It doesn’t change anything. Unfortunately we also don’t debate. You know, I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realized that people didn’t like me anyway … Those days are now long gone. In other words … that is history and we have moved on.
Our mission is to just get you to “think about it.”
We don’t implore you to like it or agree with it.
Unemployed or unemployable. The share of young people with jobs is at its lowest level since the government began collecting statistics in 1948. Just 54.3% of people ages 18 to 24 were employed in 2011, down some from 62.4% in 2007. Yesterday I read a really good post that you will find amusing and interesting, on basically the same subject, you can find it here, it is entitled The Guidance Counselor, a terrific read.
O gawd help us! More and more WallStreet types are undergoing testosterone treatments “in the hope of being turned into alpha males.” Just what we need. A world that is on the threshold of what might be called “Peak People.” Didn’t too much testosterone get us where we currently find ourselves now (living daily with a financial system that is all screwed up and run amuck).
Someone please stop the bus … I want off.
