Christmas officially being retired, it is now time for the annual rush BACK TO THE STORES to fill up on even more crap. As a matter of fact …. I just got back from the Mall. The wife did a lot of shopping and I sat in the truck out in the parking lot (evidently security does not allow people to walk around the Mall in their pajamas’?).
Over the holidays I came across this little thing here, and it just about sums it all up.
The American Dream in Full Swing.
What was really scary was as I watched it, I saw a lot of myself in this.
Check it out.
OOO
Well done.
I strongly believe that if we as a people get back to biblical guidelines, the “intrinsic” values will be self evident.

It is my way of thinking that we have tipped the scales in the wrong direction and that technology be it as it may, is not only invading our lives, but actually complicating them and corrupting them at the same time.

Awesome video… I will be sure to pass it on, although I doubt many of the young people will “get it”. I myself have not been tempted to partake in the materialism of the holiday season for several years now. We have gotten back to our roots… living simply. People complain every day about stress, financial duress, and unhappiness. Both spouses work, the kids are being raised by daycare, the family eats out, and shop for more material items… and they need more money. The answer is simple, but people are too caught up in the hamster wheel, and feeding the beast within. The new American Dream is scary. Stress and depression, has millions of people on anti-depressants, and health issues prevail. When will we stop the toxic way of life?

Could not have said it any better than if I said it myself. Good work.

Terrific video. I am reminded of a video, put out by a large corporation a few years ago. I can’t remember the name! A lady speaks about products from creation to the end and what is involved, man hours, pay, farming, manufacturing, etc.. At the end, we pretty much throw it all away. It lands in piles of trash at the dump. I think the video is about recycling for the most part. I am gonna go crazy trying to remember who made it. It is pretty interesting, like this video! This is a great video for people to see. (Myself included)

It has it all, presentation and information, two key ingredients. Whether or not people will take it and pass it around, is another story.
Glad you liked it.
