We have government to insure that huge banks and auto manufacturers get instant help when they have squandered their assets. But for those who work for a living, 18 months is soon enough for relief. Wouldn't it be great if the American public learned what our parents knew? If you want a better standard of living, you don't give your money to banks as interest on credit cards. You save your money and pay cash for what you want. Credit cards are assets only to the bank, to the consumer they are liabilities. Basic accounting.

As the Bible says, "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." Proverbs 22:7

Yeah? Well I am personally getting real tired of this. As they say in the greek .... It is baloney! I got a quote for my banker, it is out of the book of Boxcar: "Get your tongue outta my mouth cause I am kissin' you goodbye!" Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

We are strictly cash and carry around here, we have one credit card and that is only because they won't rent me a car without one, if it were not for that, I am fairly sure we could do with them completely.
