It was a pretty nice weekend here too John, until the thunder-boomers showed up and the skies became deadly again. As I age, I grow much less ethusiastic about this time of the year, in Oklahoma it often gets quite scary.

Not a whole lot of traffic, noise was down and the smell of backyard barbeque's filled the air.

Y'all are making me sound like some kind of hero or something, I just did my part like thousands of other guys, and I was fortunate to come home to the world. Nothing out of the oridinary, some good times, some bad times. It was awhile getting rid of the excess baggage some of us brought back, but that was a long time ago.

Oldies on the radio, "it's a girl in a flatbed Ford, and she is slowing down to take a look at Me!" .... The Eagles.

Nice weekenend indeed.

Don, Well... I know I spent the day quietly thinking about my freedom and the human cost which made that possible. I later took a small nap but before drifting off, I thought about how people in some countries never have that sense of safety we enjoy. They can never know true relaxation. Once again I remembered the true cost of that one simple liberty. So I offered up prayers and thanks to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and have now gone before us, and I took time to remember those who put themselves in harms way and did thankfully come back to us. It must give you a special joy, Don, in knowing you earned the liberty and freedom enjoyed by all who live in this Country.

Quite an inspiring weekend.

Once again, Thank you!
