People (these days) seem to have forgotten the sacrifice that was made by these individuals. A good example of it is this. Our church on Memorial Day asks everyone to stand in rememberance of those who have gone ahead (old timers in the church who have died) to be with the lord.
I being a vet, do not stand, not out of disrespect mind you, but because I know that Memorial Day is a day set aside for “War Dead.”
This of course has not moved me any higher in social standing among the memembership, but I am not all about that anyway. Last I heard, I wasn’t on the short list for a deaconship anyway.
Glad to hear from you LM, heard you made it thru the latest round of tornado’s okay, and I am glad.
“… for preservation of our way…” Amen, and thank you Vets!

It is imperative that we pay homage to those who gave so much so that we might enjoy what we have.
